  • A proposal from the President to move the date of the May Council meeting to 19th May was approved by members.
  • Jack Dempsey has prepared a précis of Kirkcaldy Rotary Club which would be of value to any member visiting an overseas / external Club and who may be asked to give an impromptu presentation on Rotary in Kirkcaldy. Rod Scott undertook to upload the document on to the Club website for easy retrieval.
  • A suggestion that the Club may wish to ‘sponsor’ a local roundabout in Kirkcaldy, in return for a year’s road signage promoting Rotary, was discussed at some length. It was agreed that a more attractive and potentially longer lasting option would be to provide a flower tub at some central point in the town. Discussion ensued on the further possibility of providing a sun dial within Beveridge Park. Les Soper undertook to investigate the feasibility of both options and advise Council accordingly.
