Club President Ann Mitchell announced that the club had purchased four more emergency Shelter Boxes now bound for earthquake relief in Haiti. They were additional to similar boxes in, and en route to that stricken country.
Rotarians at the weekly meeting also had heartening update of other major works in Nepal funded by the club in concert with other Rotary clubs. Fresh water, and latrine provision,for homes and schools in remote Nepalese regions continues.
Nearer to home, light relief at the weekly meeting came in the form of a lighthearted quiz for club members on the life and times of Robert Burns that was won by a certain retired minister who writes this occasional note for The Fife Free Press!
